I started my day with Muir Pass.
The trail from the north side was nice, gradually bringing me up and past a number of lakes until the inevitable switchbacks. Don’t doubt me. By the time I’ve decided to do something, I’ve already talked myself out of it and back into it a dozen times. If the conversation were truly with myself, I wouldn’t have a problem saying yes sooner. But in reality, you were there, too, doubting. Telling me why I shouldn’t do it. Going over the dangers. Saying I’d be better off staying at home.
